Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. mashed bananas
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    2 c. sifted flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. nutmeats, chopped
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar together, add eggs.
    Mash bananas with fork and add lemon juice.
    Mix into the creamed mixture.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and add.
    Add nuts.
    Turn into greased 1 1/2-pound loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
