Pecan Sandies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. powdered sugar
    2 eggs
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter, shortening and sugars.
    Add flour, sifted with cream of
    tartar and soda.
    Add vanilla.
    Fold in pecans. Roll in small balls.
    Place on greased cookie sheets.
    Flatten with glass dipped
    in
    sugar.
    Bake
    at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until light tan.
