Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. mashed squash
    2 Tbsp. pimento
    2 Tbsp. onion, diced
    1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, diced
    1 c. saltine cracker crumbs
    1 c. scalded milk
    3 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. salt and pepper
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients.
    Add scalded milk last.
    Melt butter in milk.
    Bake about 30 or 40 minutes at 350\u00b0 until thoroughly hot.
    Turn down to 300\u00b0 and cook until golden brown.
    Better to let stand 1 hour before baking.
