Effie'S Potato Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 good-size potatoes, peeled and cut into bite-sized pieces
2 onions, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
4 chicken bouillon cubes
1 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes
5 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 stick butter or oleo
1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
grated Swiss cheese (4 oz.)
4 to 6 slices fried bacon, crumbled
Preparation

Put all ingredients, except milk, cheese and bacon, into a large Dutch oven (or any sort of cooker or kettle).
Cover and cook on low heat until very tender; then blend with a potato masher or run through a blender.
Add the milk and just heat a bit.
