Tamale Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. hamburger
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 c. diced celery
1 (16 oz.) can whole kernel corn
16 oz. (2 c.) canned tomatoes, drain and keep juice to use later
1 Tbsp. chili powder
salt to taste
1 tsp. garlic powder
cayenne pepper to taste
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce
1/4 c. sweet pepper flakes
Preparation

Cook hamburger until done and drain.
Add all remaining ingredients to hamburger.
Let cook until you cook your yellow cornmeal; mush.
Mix 5 cups boiling water, 1 cup tomato juice, a little cayenne pepper, and a little salt.
Add 2 cups yellow cornmeal, stirring slowly constantly until thick.
Line a 3-quart casserole dish with corn mush, it will be thick, then pour all in skillet.
Then put the rest of meal on top.
Bake, uncovered, in oven at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Serve with grated Cheddar cheese.
