Cedric Adams Hot Dish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 lb. ground chuck
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    6 c. coarsely chopped cabbage
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can tomato soup
Preparation
    Saute chopped onion in butter.
    Add ground chuck.
    Do not brown.
    Just heat.
    Spread 3 cups cabbage in bottom of 2-quart baking dish.
    Cover with meat mixture.
    Add rest of cabbage; pour over tomato soup.
    Add 1/2 cup water.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour. Stir after 1/2 hour.
