Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow or white cake mix
    1 large box instant vanilla pudding
    1 (6 oz.) box peach or strawberry flavored gelatin
    1 large tub Cool Whip
    1 qt. fresh or frozen strawberries or peaches, thawed and sweetened to taste
Preparation
    Bake cake as directed on box in 2 round cake pans.
    Let cool, then break into bite size pieces and set aside.
    Prepare gelatin as directed on box.
    Prepare pudding as directed on box.
    Layer in punch bowl 1/2 cake, 1/2 pudding, 1/2 fruit and 1/2 gelatin.
    Add second layer cake, pudding, fruit and gelatin.
    Top with Cool Whip.
    Garnish with some fruit, if desired.
