Raisin Puff Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dark raisins
    1/2 c. golden raisins
    1 c. water
    1 c. shortening (Crisco)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook raisins in water until water is absorbed.
    Set aside to cool.
    Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs.
    Beat until fluffy. Stir in flour, soda and salt.
    Add raisins and vanilla.
    Mix well and shape into small balls and roll in granulated sugar.
    Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    This is a soft cookie.
    Makes 6 to 8 dozen.
