Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon
    1 large onion
    6 medium tomatoes
    2 c. sliced okra
    1 green pepper
    1 (16 oz.) can whole kernel corn
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 c. long grain rice
Preparation
    Cook bacon.
    Remove and drain.
    Measure 3 tablespoons bacon fat in skillet.
    Add onion and saute until tender.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Cover and simmer 20 minutes or until rice is tender. Put in dish and crumble bacon on it.
