Ripe Tomato Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck ripe tomatoes
    5 large onions
    4 to 5 hot green peppers
    4 to 5 bell peppers
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    3 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Scald and peel tomatoes; mash them up and drain off most of the water.
    Grind up peppers and onions.
    Mix all ingredients and cook slowly for 1 1/2 hours.
    Seal in hot canning jars.
