Layer Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, torn in small pieces
    1 onion, diced or 1/2 c. onion flakes
    2 hard-cooked eggs, sliced
    1/2 pkg. frozen peas
    4 Tbsp. bacon bits
    1 c. mayonnaise or enough to cover top
    1 c. shredded cheese
Preparation
    Layer in order in a 13 x 9-inch dish.
    Spread mayonnaise over the top and sprinkle with cheese.
    Refrigerate 2 to 4 hours or overnight.
    Stir before serving.
