Egg Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 unbaked pie shell
    4 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
    nutmeg
Preparation
    Beat eggs; add sugar until thick and heavy.
    Add milk, vanilla and salt.
    Mix well.
    Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes; reduce heat to 300\u00b0.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg and bake for 45 minutes or until knife is clean when tested.
