German Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small to large head cabbage, shredded
    1 onion, chopped
    1 c. sugar, divided use
    salt to taste
    1 Tbsp. dry mustard
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 c. white vinegar
    3/4 c. oil
Preparation
    Mix cabbage and onion. Remove 2 tablespoons sugar and reserve. Add larger portion of sugar to vegetables.
    Heat to boiling remaining ingredients and reserved sugar.
    Cool and pour over vegetables.
    Mix well. Store in jars in refrigerator.
