Hearty Mushroom And Beef Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. fresh mushrooms
2 lb. boneless chuck, cut in small cubes
7 c. beef broth or bouillon
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
3/4 c. sliced carrots
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. water
oregano to taste
1/4 c. vegetable oil, divided
1 c. chopped onion
1 (No. 2 1/2) can tomatoes, crushed
1 bay leaf
1/2 c. uncooked rice (not instant)
1/2 c. red Burgundy wine
Preparation

Rinse, pat dry and slice mushrooms.
In large pot, heat 2 tablespoons oil until hot.
Add mushrooms and saute until golden. Remove from pan and set aside.
