Ingredients

1/4 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
2 c. flour
Cool Whip or vanilla ice cream
4 tsp. baking powder
1 (1 lb. 5 oz.) can cherry pie filling
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. boiling water
Preparation

Cream margarine and sugar.
Stir in milk, flour and baking powder; mix well.
Spread batter in 6 1/2 x 10-inch baking dish. Cover with pie filling.
Combine lemon juice with boiling water and carefully pour over top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes until cake reverses itself and crust top appears.
Put Cool Whip on top (or vanilla ice cream).
