Bratbrick Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter, softened
    1 c. unbleached flour
    1/2 c. cornstarch
    1/3 c. plus 1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Sift flour and cornstarch into a bowl.
    Add softened butter and sifted sugar.
    Rub butter, flour and cornstarch between your thumb and finger until it resembles crumbs.
    Knead mix until it comes together to form a ball.
    Press dough with hand into 8-inch round cake pan and stab all over with a fork.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes until golden brown.
