Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cooking chicken
    2 1/2 to 3 c. flour
    pepper and salt to taste
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Cook chicken.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Take chicken out of kettle and add water for broth for dumplings.
    Put flour in bowl. Add milk and shortening.
    Dough will be thick.
    Drop by teaspoon in boiling broth.
    Cover and cook on low 20 minutes.
