Southern Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. light cream (20%)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Butter a sheet of foil.
    Combine sugars, cream and salt in a large saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat until mixture spins a thread about 2 inches long when dropped from a spoon.
    Stir in butter and pecans.
    Continue cooking until mixture dropped in cold water flattens when taken out.
    Remove from heat.
    Cool 5 minutes. Beat with a wooden spoon
    until slightly thickened.
    Drop spoonfuls onto foil.
