Beef Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground meat
1 small onion
2 c. shredded cabbage
1/4 c. ketchup
1 qt. water
5 medium potatoes
1 1/2 c. corn (whole kernel)
1 1/2 c. speckled butter beans
1 pt. pureed tomatoes (no seed)*
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Peel and dice potatoes and onions.
Put in large pan.
I use a 6-quart pressure cooker.
Add water and tomato puree.
Start cooking while you lightly brown meat.
Drain meat on paper towel. Add all ingredients in pan.
If pressuring, cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
If open pan, cook until vegetables are tender.
May have to add a little more water while cooking.
I serve with cornbread.
