Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. bread pieces
    2 c. milk, scalded with 1/2 c. butter
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg
    1/2 c. seedless raisins (optional)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Tear bread into pieces until you have 3 cups.
    Place bread pieces in 8 x 8-inch baking pan.
    In large bowl, stir in milk, sugar, eggs and cinnamon.
    Stir well.
    Pour evenly over bread pieces.
    Place baking pan in pan of hot water (1-inch deep).
    Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted 1-inch from edge comes out clean.
    Serve warm or cold.
