Pecan Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    3/4 c. Karo syrup
    dash of salt
    1 1/4 c. pecans (peanuts may be substituted if desired)
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Mix sugar, water, syrup and salt together and boil for 1 minute.
    Add pecans and cook to 305\u00b0 on candy thermometer.
    Add soda, stir and turn out onto buttered pans.
