Pecan Crispies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2 1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 well-beaten eggs
    2 1/2 c. sifted enriched flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Thoroughly cream shortening, butter and sugar, add eggs; beat well.
    Sift dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture; add nuts. Drop from teaspoon, about 2 inches apart, onto greased cookie sheet.
    Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) 12 to 15 minutes.
    Makes 5 dozen.
