Surprise Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/3 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
    1 c. finely chopped nuts
    powdered sugar (to sprinkle)
    1 egg
    1/2 c. powdered sugar
    2 (6 oz.) pkg. milk chocolate kisses
Preparation
    In mixing bowl, soften butter.
    Add vanilla, egg and powdered sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
    Blend in flour and nuts. Shape dough (about size of walnut) around each chocolate kiss. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
    They should not be browned, but make sure they are cooked through and not doughy.
    Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar.
    They can be frozen for later use.
