Mississippi Mud Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
4 whole eggs
1-1/2 c. plain flour
1/3 c. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. vanilla
miniature marshmallows (5 to 10 oz. package)
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and beat by hand. Sift flour, cocoa and salt; add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Add vanilla. Pour into a greased and floured oblong pan. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 35 minutes. Remove from oven and pour desired amount of marshmallows over top; return to oven for 10 minutes at 350\u00b0. Cool cake 1 hour before icing.
