Broccoli With Bacon - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. fresh broccoli
    6 slices bacon
    3/4 c. coarsely chopped walnuts (optional)
    1/2 c. chopped green onions
Preparation
    Remove broccoli leaves and cut off tough ends of stalks; discard.
    Wash broccoli and cut into spears.
    Cook in a small amount of boiling water 6 to 8 minutes or just until tender; drain.
    Place in a serving dish; keep warm.
    Cook bacon in a skillet until crisp.
    Add green onions.
    Cook until tender. Remove from skillet.
    Add chopped walnuts.
    Stir together and pour over broccoli.
