Eggplant Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. eggplant or 6 small ones, peeled and sliced
    1 lg. onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 lb. sharp cheddar cheese, grated
    1 lb. shrimp (optional)
    bread crumbs
    seasoned bread crumbs
Preparation
    Boil eggplant in salted water, drain.
    Saute onions in butter.
    Add eggplant, egg, and cheese. Cook a little more, until cheese is melted.
    Add a little bread crumbs, then add seasoned bread crumbs on top, then dot with butter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 in a pan for 45 minutes.
