Golden Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. tea leaves or bags
    3 c. lemon juice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    sliced fruits (crushed pineapple)
    2 c. cold water
    3 c. orange juice
    1 large can pineapple juice
    2 qt. ginger ale
Preparation
    Put sugar and cold water in large vessel and bring to a boil. Use
    another
    vessel
    with
    close\tfitting
    lid.
    Pour boiling water over tea leaves and steep for 4 minutes.
    Strain and cool (do
    not
    put
    tea\tleaves in aluminum or tin).
    Add juices and salt
    and pour over ice in punch bowl.
    Add ginger ale and any slices of fruit.
    Serves 50.
