Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. corn syrup
    1 c. margarine
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    7 qt. popped popcorn
Preparation
    Boil first 4 ingredients in a large saucepan for 5 minutes to 245\u00b0.
    Add soda and vanilla.
    Pour over popped popcorn in very large bowl or kettle; mix evenly.
    Spread out on 2 large well-greased cookie sheets.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
    Remove from oven, cool slightly and pour onto wax paper (on countertop).
    Break into pieces as it cools.
