Chinese Chews - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. broken walnut pieces
3 eggs, well beaten
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients.
Stir in dates and walnuts, and then eggs.
Pour into greased and floured 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch jelly roll pan.
Bake 15 minutes.
While warm, cut into bars. Cool and remove from pan.
Roll in sifted confectioners sugar. Makes 3 dozen.
