Spicy Orange Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (13 oz.) can mandarin oranges
    1 (6-inch) stick cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. whole cloves
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. orange gelatin
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Drain oranges, reserving juice and add enough water to make 1 3/4 cups liquid.
    Place in saucepan; add spices and salt and simmer for 10 minutes.
    Let steep for 10 minutes; strain.
    Dissolve gelatin in hot water mixture; add 2 cups cold water and lemon juice.
    Chill until partially set.
    Fold in oranges and walnuts. Pour in mold; chill until firm.
    Serves 6.
