Country Fried Chicken In Gravy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cut-up chicken
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. flour
2 c. Crisco
Preparation

Season and flour chicken.
Heat Crisco in a large pan.
When hot, add chicken.
Brown chicken on both sides.
Remove from pan. Remove all Crisco from pan, except about 1 tablespoon.
Put 3 teaspoons of flour in pan.
Brown the flour.
Pour 1 cup of water in pan.
Stir until thick.
Put chicken back in pan and cover. Leave in pan until ready to serve.
