Neva'S Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. macaroni shells
    1/2 c. chopped green onions
    1/4 c. bacon bits
    1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1/3 c. lemon juice
    1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    4 c. lettuce or salad greens, in bite size pieces
    1 slice cucumber
    1 c. sliced cauliflower
    1 c. sliced broccoli
    2 medium tomatoes, cut in wedges (optional)
    1/3 c. sliced radishes (optional)
Preparation
    Cook macaroni according to package instructions.
    Rinse in cold water and drain.
    Stir together macaroni, onions and 2 tablespoons bacon bits in a medium bowl.
    Mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, 1/4 cup cheese, sugar and garlic powder.
    In a large salad bowl or large rectangular Pyrex pan, layer salad greens, macaroni mix, cucumber, cauliflower, broccoli, radishes, tomatoes and remaining 1/4 cup cheese.
    Pour dressing over top.
    Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
    Sprinkle with bacon bits before serving.
    (You may want to wait until serving to add the tomatoes.)
