Lollipop Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. softened butter
    1 egg yolk
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/4 c. flour (all-purpose)
    1 c. sifted powdered sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    granulated sugar
    18 wooden craft sticks (popsicle)
    assorted 4 1/2 oz. tubes of decorating frosting
    assorted candies and sprinkles
Preparation
    Combine first 3 ingredients in a large mixing bowl; beat at medium speed with electric mixer until blended.
    Set aside. Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; add gradually to butter mixture, beating after each addition.
    Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
    Dip a flat-bottomed glass in granulated sugar and use to flatten each ball.
    Insert a wooden stick into each to resemble a lollipop.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 11 to 12 minutes.
    Cool completely on cookie sheets; remove carefully.
    Decorate cookies as desired.
    Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
