Adams County Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. plus 5 Tbsp. sugar, divided
1 c. vegetable oil
4 eggs
1/3 c. orange juice
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
4 medium baking apples, peeled and thinly sliced
2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Preparation

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, 2 cups sugar, oil, eggs, orange juice, salt and vanilla.
Beat until thoroughly combined.
