Beef And Squash Strata(Serves 6) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    Italian meat sauce*
    1 lb. zucchini
    1 Tbsp. butter
    garlic salt
    2 medium tomatoes, thinly sliced
    1 pt. small curd cottage cheese
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
    1/2 c. shredded Gruyere or Samsoe
    2 green onions, chopped
Preparation
    Prepare meat sauce as directed.
    Trim ends from zucchini and thinly slice on the diagonal.
    Stir-fry in butter 2 to 3 minutes or until crisp-tender.
    Place in a buttered 10-inch round baking dish. Sprinkle lightly with garlic salt.
    Spoon meat sauce over zucchini. Cover with a layer of tomatoes.
    Beat cottage cheese and eggs together.
    Stir in Parmesan cheese, Gruyere and onions.
    Pour over tomatoes.
    Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 35 minutes or until set and lightly browned.
    Cut into wedges.
