Sweet Sour Spareribs(Serves 6) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. country-style pork spareribs
    1/4 to 1/3 c. brown sugar
    1 large onion, thinly sliced
    1/2 c. soy sauce
    1/3 c. vinegar
    1 c. water
    1/4 c. cornstarch
Preparation
    Separate spareribs and place in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle generously with brown sugar.
    Cover with sliced onion. Mix together soy sauce, vinegar, water and cornstarch and pour this mixture over spareribs.
    Cover and bake at 425\u00b0 for 1 hour or until done.
    Remove cover and continue baking for approximately 5 minutes to brown.
    Serve sauce over rice.
