Texas Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. oil
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. sugar (half may be brown)
1 egg
3 c. grated fresh apples
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Sift the flour, soda, salt and cinnamon.
Cream the oil, sugar and egg.
Fold the dry sifted ingredients into the creamed mixture alternately with the apples and vanilla, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
Add the pecans.
Turn into a buttered 10-inch tube or Bundt pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
No icing is needed.
