Crumb Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 lb. vanilla wafers, crushed
    1 c. cream, whipped
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
    1 c. pineapple, crushed and drained
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
    Add eggs and mix well. Spread half the crushed wafers on bottom of buttered 8-inch square pan, then butter mixture, then pineapple.
    Add nuts to whipped cream and top with remaining crumbs.
    Chill 2 hours.
