Crispy Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 qt. vinegar
    1/2 qt. water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 clove garlic
    green peppers, cut in strips
    1 Tbsp. oil in each pt. jar
Preparation
    Mix vinegar, water, sugar and salt.
    Wash and cut green peppers in strips.
    Fill jars; add garlic.
    Pour liquid over peppers; add 1 tablespoon oil in each jar.
    Let stand 24 hours.
