Old Fashioned Chocolate Angel Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. plus 3 Tbsp. cake flour
    6 Tbsp. cocoa
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 3/4 c. egg whites
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 2/3 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    1 1/3 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Light oven at 375\u00b0.
    Sift flour and measure.
    Add 3/4 cup sugar and sift 4 times.
    Beat egg whites and salt until foamy. Sprinkle in cream of tartar; beat until stiff enough to hold up in soft peaks.
    Add remaining 1 1/3 cups sugar in 4 additions; fold in each addition, turning bowl.
    Use 15 complete strokes.
    After last addition, use 10 to 24 strokes.
    Bake 55 minutes at 350\u00b0.
