Good Luck Black-Eyed Peas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 (15 oz.) cans black-eyed peas
    2 c. bacon, chopped
    2 c. ham, chopped
    3 c. onion, chopped
    2 c. green pepper, chopped
Preparation
    Fry bacon and ham until slightly brown.
    Add onion and saute about 15 minutes.
    Add green pepper and saute about 10 minutes. Pour in black-eyed peas with liquid and simmer for 1 hour.
    Cover for the last 15 minutes.
    I use my leftover ham from Christmas and always serve this on New Year's Day for good luck!
