Missouri Beef Skillet - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    3/4 c. chopped onions
    1 (16 oz.) can chopped tomatoes
    1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans
    1/2 c. quick cook rice
    1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
    3 Tbsp. chopped green peppers
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. water
    3/4 c. shredded American cheese
    1 bag slightly crushed corn chips
Preparation
    In skillet, cook ground beef and onions until meat is brown and onions are tender. Drain fat.
    Stir in undrained tomatoes, kidney beans, then water, rice and green peppers.
    Add chili powder, salt and garlic; bring to a boil, then reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
    Top mixture with cheese and corn chips. Serve when cheese is melted.
