Barbecue Meat Buns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 tsp. prepared mustard
    1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. water
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. peeled and sliced onions
    2 Tbsp. salad oil
Preparation
    Cook onions in salad oil or melted fat in large skillet over medium
    heat
    until soft.
    Add ground beef and 1 teaspoon of salt. Cook and stir until beef is lightly browned or use 2 1/2
    cups chopped
    leftover,\tcooked\tbeef,
    pork, chicken or turkey instead of
    ground beef and do not brown).
    Add tomato sauce, prepared mustard, pepper sauce, vinegar and water.
    Let simmer, uncovered, for
    10 to 15 minutes.
    Serve large spoonfuls on toasted halves of hamburger buns.
