1 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. oatmeal
2 c. rice cereal
1 c. shredded coconut
Preparation

Cream shortening with brown and white sugars.
Add eggs and vanilla; cream well.
Sift flour with soda, salt and baking powder.
Combine oatmeal, rice cereal and coconut.
Fold dry ingredients into creamed mixture.
Mix well.
Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheets.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes 4 1/2 to 5 dozen cookies.
