Chinese Pepper Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 to 1 1/2 lb. round or flake steak
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 c. soy sauce
2 green peppers
3 Tbsp. oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 c. water
1 large tomato
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Slice meat diagonally into thin strips.
Combine cornstarch, sugar and ginger; stir into soy sauce.
Pour mixture over meat. Stir; marinate for several hours or overnight.
Cut peppers into wedges.
Quickly brown meat in hot oil, about half at a time; remove from pan and keep warm.
Lower heat; add peppers, garlic and water.
cook until peppers are tender crisp (5 minutes).
Stir meat back back into pan; add tomatoes.
Heat and serve.
Good served over rice.
Can be made in crock-pot.
Also stew beef can be used instead of steak.
