Chocolate Layer Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. (12 oz.) chocolate chips
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    2/3 c. (5.3 oz. can) evaporated milk
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1 c. butter, softened
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Combine chocolate chips, cream cheese and evaporated milk in medium pan.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until chips are melted and mixture is smooth.
    Remove from heat; stir in walnuts and 1/2 teaspoon almond extract.
    Blend well and set aside.
