Blackberry Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs, beaten
    1 (12 oz.) jar blackberry jam
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. baking soda
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. cocoa
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    caramel frosting
Preparation
    Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy.
    Combine eggs and jam; mix well.
    Add to creamed mixture; beat well.
    Combine buttermilk and soda; set aside.
    Combine dry ingredients; mix alternately with creamed mixture and buttermilk mixture.
    Mix well. Stir in raisins and pecans.
    Pour into 3 greased and floured 8-inch cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 or 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
