Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    approximately 2 lb. summer squash
    1 large onion, finely chopped (saute tightly)
    3 eggs, beaten
    12 crackers, crumbled
    1 scant c. mayonnaise
    1 pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix
    1 c. grated extra sharp cheese, shredded
    buttered cornbread crumbs to cover the casserole
Preparation
    Cut squash in 1/2-inch pieces and cook until just tender. Drain.
    Mix all ingredients except cornbread crumbs for top.
    Put in greased casserole dish and bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes approximately (ovens vary).
