Pickled Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans beets or fresh beets, cooked and sliced (enough for 8 oz. jar)
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Boil sugar and vinegar until sugar is dissolved.
    Pour over beets.
    Cover; let cool.
    Refrigerate.
    Let set a few days.
