Hamburger Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium onion, chopped
1 lb. hamburger
2 c. canned tomatoes
2 medium carrots, diced
2 c. diced potatoes (optional)
1/2 c. diced celery
1/4 c. barley or rice
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
6 c. water
Preparation
-
Brown hamburger and onion evenly.
Add tomatoes, carrots, celery, barley or rice and seasonings.
Add water.
Cover; simmer for about 1 hour.
Add potatoes (optional); cook until tender.
